Personal Injury is the more commonly used name given to the branch of “tort law”, which covers any wrong or damage done to a person, his property, rights, or reputation due to the negligence or wrongdoing of another. The injury can be physical or psychological, but must come about by the actions of your employer, a manufacturer, your doctor, your landlord, or some other organization who has a responsibility to you of ordinary care. A personal injury can occur at work, in a traffic accident, during medical treatment, a slip and fall, or because of a faulty product or repair.
